Politics: which is scarier?

Howard Dean might replace Terry McAuliffe as the chairman of the DNC

or

Kerry might run again in 2008

Doomed, I say! Doomed!

Kerry is scarier. Dean as DNC chair would actually be good for the party.

1) It keeps him from running for President.

2) He's an amazing fundraiser

3) It will cause the DNC to focus on elections at all levels, from president down to county drain inspector (if you don't believe me, look at what DFA has been trying to do for the last 10 months). The Republicans got to where they are today by making sure no position went uncontested, no matter how unimportant. The Democrats simply don't do that. As a long-term strategy for retaking the country, we need to start now.

4) Did I mention that it keeps him from running for President?

Points taken and seconded :) And I guess the head of the DNC is allowed to be a bit of a firebrand w/o alienating anybody.
