Media: Limbaugh's "Thug Basketball Association"
No one will ever question my disgust for Rush Limbaugh, but come on, kids. Even I think this is funny:
LIMBAUGH: You just gotta be who you are, and I think it's time to get rid of this whole National Basketball Association. Call it the TBA, the Thug Basketball Association, and stop calling them teams. Call 'em gangs. You have the Laker Gang, you have the Heat Gang, you have a Timberwolf Gang [distortions of official team names], and let 'em strap up out there, and let 'em market their CDs. Instead of selling concessions, sell CDs out there at the concession stand.

And Rush wonders why he is oft labeled a racist, and that a book was named after him being a big fat stupid idiot.
I can only laugh at these commments, because if I took them seriously, I would get very angry and scared.
You know, with O'Reilly telling Jews to move to Israel if they feel disenfranchised by Christmas, I think Rush should move back to pre-Civil Rights America, where he could just call black people the n word, stupid, and violent, without having to focus his anger on black institutions like hip-hop and the NBA to funnel his hatred. Anybody who thinks racism is not as "big" of a problem anymore is partially right, but then I think racists have just gotten a little more sly and know that they can't say certain things outloud, or that they have to project their thoughts on to other groups (say NBA players, hip hop, or hey why not gay people).
Ugh.
